Western Springs College is celebrating a clean sweep of the Maori stage at this year’s Polyfest.
Stage coordinator Tracey Watkinson, who is the school’s business manager, says Nga Puna O Waiorea won the first, second and third divisions.
It was the fourth year in a row the premier team won the stage, and the third in a row for the division two team.
Minor placings are still to be confirmed.
Ms Watkinson says they’re humbled by the wins, which are a testament to tutors and the hard work and dedication of the students.
Western Springs was one of the five original schools that started Polyfest 40 years ago, and she says it was a great way to celebrate the anniversary.
