End to division after leadership contest

Labour Party leadership contender Shane Jones says the winner of the exercise has been the Labour Party.
The list MP, along with David Cunliffe and Grant Robertson, will spend the next couple of days lobbying fellow caucus members before the result is announced on Sunday afternoon.
Mr Jones says it has invigorated the membership and gained rare positive media attention for the party’s core messages on issues like equity, jobs, housing and education.
"Irrespective of who wins, we’ve got to knuckle down and support that person because just look at Australia, the Labor Party has been disembowelled by their own divisiveness, and I think that’s what all of us and the party members have reinforced to us," he says.
Mr Jones says he has thoroughly enjoyed the campaign.
