Wainuiārua treaty settlement gives iwi voice
One of the negotiators for a settlement covering the middle reaches of the Whanganui river says it allows the the iwi to speak for themselves after a century and a half of being pushed into the shadows.
- Radio Waatea is Auckland's only Māori radio station that provides an extensive bi-lingual broadcast to its listeners. Based at Nga Whare Waatea marae in Mangere, it is located in the middle of the biggest Māori population in Aotearoa.
