Angitū embrace te ao hou through ngā mahi ā Rēhia.

Day two of Te Matatini o Te Kāhui Maunga is underway at Pukekura/Brooklands Bowl, drawing thousands in person and millions online.

Angitū, one of three Tāmaki Makaurau regional first-equal teams, took the stage at midday to a packed crowd.

Manukura tāne Pere Wīhongi challenged the audience, saying we live in ignorance of a new taniwha—artificial intelligence—at the fingertips of our tamariki mokopuna.

The group performed their haka “EI AI”, written with the help of ChatGPT, exploring the pros and cons of AI with mātauranga Māori.

Later this afternoon, fellow first-equal Tāmaki Makaurau teams Ngā Tūmanako and Te Waka Huia will take the stage.
