The Ōwhata Kōhanga Rākau housing development, which opens this weekend, was the vision of the Ōwhata 2B & 7 Trusts. The Trusts saw the need to create affordable, well-built homes to meet the needs of the Rotorua community, especially whānau that whakapapa to the Ōwhata whenua.
