Bossing pays off as wāhine Māori go Green
Greens co-leader Marama Davidson is proud of the number of young wāhine Māori putting up their hand to stand for the party.
They include environmentalist Kahurangi Carter in Christchurch Central, Wellington City councilor Tamatha Paul in Wellington Central and Ngātiwai Trust Board chief executive Huhana Lyndon in Taitokerau
“Being able to gather this fresh, incredible, particular wāhine Māori talent this election has made me really, really proud. I’m not going to be humble either about the fact I know many of them credit their entry into the Green Party to me basically bossing them around to get them in here,” she says
