Playing in front of a vocal home crowd, New Zealand overcame a slow start before asserting their dominance across the final three quarters to secure a confidence-boosting win in their opening Pool B match.
The victory comes at a turbulent time for New Zealand netball, with uncertainty surrounding the future of the ANZ Premiership and concerns over the financial sustainability of the domestic competition.
