engaged with the question, 483 of you reacted, 316 of you commented ans overwhelmingly 80% plus said it was in crisis – well Lady Tureiti Moxon – a prominent Māori health leader, lawyer and – has filed a formal complaint to the United Nations Committee on the Elimination of Racial Discrimination (CERD).
The submission addresses what she describes as systemic discrimination against Māori in New Zealand’s health system and other areas of public policy, tied to failures of the Crown to give effect to the principles and promises of Treaty of Waitangi/Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
