The 123 Youth MPs and 20 Youth Press Gallery members for Youth Parliament 2025 have been officially announced.
Youth Minister James Meager says they represent the best of Aotearoa, bringing fresh ideas and diverse voices to Parliament.
Young leaders like Maevi Fleming from Timaru, chosen by Meager himself, and Abby Plom from Auckland, picked by PM Christopher Luxon, will speak on issues that matter to rangatahi.
They’ll meet in Wellington on July 1–2 to experience life at the top decision-making table, while the Youth Press Gallery will cover and report on the action.
Meager says it’s inspiring to see rangatahi so passionate about shaping Aotearoa’s future.
