National climbs to 36 percent, up 2 points, while Labour dips to 32. The Greens stay on 10, ACT on 9, and NZ First rises to 7 percent. Te Pāti Māori drops to 3.
Chris Hipkins is closing in on Christopher Luxon as preferred Prime Minister—Luxon is on 23 percent, up one, while Hipkins is on 20, up three.
Winston Peters also rises to 7 percent.
The poll surveyed 1000 eligible voters and was conducted from March 29 to April 2, with a 3.1 percent margin of error.
