Organisers of Sunday’s Papatūānuku Rising march through central Napier expect a big turnout.
The hope to emulate the success of last month’s March for Nature in Auckland.
Co-organiser Putaanga Waitoa says it will represent every part of society importantly, whenua, language and mokopuna.
Take include what’s seen as the coalition Government’s attack on nature, particularly through its proposed Fast Track Bill and its numerous attempts to undermine Te Tiriti o Waitangi and te reo Māori.
The march starts at Clive Square at 1pm and goes through to the Soundshell.
