Bowel screening is saving lives.
That’s the message for Sandra Skipworth, the head of Te Whatu Ora Waitemata’s bowel screening promotion
She says the easy test needs to be done every two years and it’s free if you’re between 60 and 74.
“The tests get sent to you automatically in the mail so if you think you are eligible for one and you haven’t had one in the mail just let us know and we’ll get it sent to you. So our call centre is 0800 924 432,” Ms Skipworth says.
People can also go online and search time to screen.
