Don’t mess with success say Māori farmers
The Federation of Māori Authorities is concerned about what the new Government will mean for Māori business.
FOMA chair Traci Houpapa says last week’s Maori Business Summit at Papamoa had a mainly positive view of the future for the managers of Maori land assets, with agribusiness in Aotearoa growing at a faster rate than other markets and economies.
“What we are concerned about is incoming policy changes and revisionist approaches with regards to fresh water, the management of natural resources and concerns about how this Government and market might play as a tiriti partner,” she says.
