Entries are open for young Māori working on dairy farms to enter the Ahuwhenua Young Māori Farmer Award.
Ahuwhenua management committee chair Nukuhia Hadfield says Māori agribusiness needs young innovative leaders if it is to continue to grow.
She says ove the past decade the award has become a pathways to develop a cohort of such leaders, bringing to the fore some outstanding young Māori men and women.
Since becoming finalists or winners they have moved up to new and more responsible roles and many have become inspirational role models.
Entries close on February 9, 2024 and the finalists will be named in late March with the winner announced at the Ahuwhenua Trophy awards dinner on May 17.
