Kemp on campaign trail with kai and korero

Te Pāti Māori Tāmaki Makaurau candidate Takutai Natasha Kemp says Māori people are disenchanted with politics and want to feel someone cares for them.
She says voters want an MP who is seen out and about and will be there for the electorate.
Her team is hard at work engaging with whanau through banner waving, pamphlet drops, social media, hui and door knocking.
“The best thing I love doing is actually having kai and korero with whanau, actually talking to them about what Te Pāti Māori brings. And we’ve got to do whatever it takes at this time to be able to encourage our whanau to get out and vote. This is one of those elections where we really need our people to rise up,” she says.
Takutai Natasha Kemp is up against the incumbent Peeni Henare, Hannah Tamaki for Vision NZ, Hinurewa te Hau for National and the Greens’ Darleen Tana.
