Festival general manager Yasmin Farry says the new partnership with tangata whenua highlight’s this year’s focus on te ao Māori and sustainability.

Ōrākei chair Marama Royal says as host iwi, Ngāti Whātua was keen to align the kaupapa to a cultural narrative relevant to Tāmaki Makaurau.

Fashion Week is at the Viaduct Events Centre from August 29 to September 2.
