The head of the Auckland Business Chamber CEO says businesses want a bread and butter Budget.
Simon Bridges, a former National Party leader says the Government needs to focus on the cost of living, health, education and community safety.
Businesses want infrastructure investment rather than just spending.
“Whether it’s Maori business or more generally we need when it comes to business size is productivity-lifting investment. We’re not going backwards but a lot of the world now, whether it’s Australia with our Maori cousins over there in the hundreds of thousands, they are going forwards, so we need stuff that is going to boost this country, bring productivity, higher wages in a meaningful way,” Mr Bridges says.
