The total value of sales by Māori authorities was $972 million in the June quarter, up 2.6 percent on the same quarter last year.
The total value of sales by Māori authorities was $972 million in the June quarter, up 2.6 percent on the same quarter last year.
The data from Stats NZ covers just under 1500 Māori authorities and subsidiaries, which are defined as businesses that receive, manage, and/or administer assets held in common ownership by iwi and Māori.
They exported $204 million worth of goods, around a third of which was to China.
Māori authorities employed 11,680 people, paying out $196 millionm in wages and salaries.
