Tūruki Health Care in Māngere is seeing a steady stream of tamariki lining up and getting the Covid jab.
Clinical Director Dr Lily Fraser said it was really pleasing to see more than 20 tamariki get vaccinated this morning which is the first time vaccination has been available for those 5 to 11 years of age.
And tamariki are continuing to arrive at Turuki and get vaccinated this afternoon.
Dr Fraser says there is also a good number of people turning up for booster injections which are now available after four rather than six months after the second jab.
She says this is will make a big difference if there is an outbreak of the Omnicron COVID-19 variant.
