Maori COVID plan sought

The Māori Party wants COVID-19 Response Minister Chris Hipkins to immediately release his plan for rolling out vaccines in Māori communities.
In response to a question yesterday, Mr Hipkins confirmed a plan existed and that Māori are a population group particularly vulnerable to COVID-19.
Māori Party co-leader Debbie Ngarewa-Packer says Māori organisations need to know the plan so they can start telling their people the importance of getting vaccinated early.
She says the plan needs to recognise Māori have a higher vulnerability to COVID-19 at earlier ages than the general population.
