Māori education lifetime mahi for Penetito
The Iwi Leaders Forum has granted one of the country's country's longest serving Māori educationalists its Te Whare Pūkenga Award for his contribution to Māori education.

Emeritus Professor Wally Penetito was presented with the Te Whare Pūkenga Award from the Iwi Leaders Forum.
- Radio Waatea is Auckland's only Māori radio station that provides an extensive bi-lingual broadcast to its listeners. Based at Nga Whare Waatea marae in Mangere, it is located in the middle of the biggest Māori population in Aotearoa.
