Cancer care research wins backing
The recipient of a grant for Māori cancer research says she wants to find out how the shortage of Māori cancer-care nursing specialists affects both the nurses and their Māori patients.

Her research aims to explore the experiences of Māori cancer nurses and build greater understanding of the contribution Māori nurses make in cancer care and navigation.
- Radio Waatea is Auckland's only Māori radio station that provides an extensive bi-lingual broadcast to its listeners. Based at Nga Whare Waatea marae in Mangere, it is located in the middle of the biggest Māori population in Aotearoa.
