Local Government New Zealand (LGNZ) is calling out the Coalition Government for complete overreach in yesterdays decision on Māori wards and constituencies saying its removing decision-making from councils by mandating polls be run on Māori wards and constituencies alone.

Local Government New Zealand is calling on the Government should leave decisions on Māori wards and constituencies to local councils.
- Radio Waatea is Auckland's only Māori radio station that provides an extensive bi-lingual broadcast to its listeners. Based at Nga Whare Waatea marae in Mangere, it is located in the middle of the biggest Māori population in Aotearoa.
