Rynee de Garnham | Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu Threatened Species Representative for the World’s Rarest Wading Bird
Ngāi Tahu will mark 25 years next month since it settled with the Crown in 1998. The passing of the Ngāi Tahu Claims Settlement Act 1998 enabled Te Rūnanga o Ngāi Tahu to appoint representatives of its whānau to work alongside DOC kaimahi and protect taonga species.
