Kākahu blessed for Olympic opening
A cloak made by New Zealand Olympic Committee kuia Rānui Ngārimu and the late Te Aue Davis for the 2004 Athens Olympics as well as a new kākahu have been blessed by King Tuheitia.
- Radio Waatea is Auckland's only Māori radio station that provides an extensive bi-lingual broadcast to its listeners. Based at Nga Whare Waatea marae in Mangere, it is located in the middle of the biggest Māori population in Aotearoa.
