Māori projects shine in architecture awards
A Māori health and social services centre in Rotorua has won the NZ Institute of Architects' Waikato Bay of Plenty division award for commercial architecture.

Te Kāhui Whaihanga NZ Institute of Architects jury have awarded a Highly Commended to Victoria Carran, Her proposal involves turning the site into Te Kura Hoahoa Whare o Maungataketake, a campus for built-environment professionals.
- Radio Waatea is Auckland's only Māori radio station that provides an extensive bi-lingual broadcast to its listeners. Based at Nga Whare Waatea marae in Mangere, it is located in the middle of the biggest Māori population in Aotearoa.
