Codi Wehi-Ngatai (Ngāti Maniapoto), a passionate advocate for te reo Māori and the musician behind Kia Whanake. Kia Whanake is about to release two new waiata as part of the upcoming EP, ‘Rua’. These waiata, ‘Ngā Mahi o te Ata’ and ‘Ngā Mahi o te Pō’, take whānau through their everyday routines, their morning and night rituals in te reo Māori.
- Radio Waatea is Auckland's only Māori radio station that provides an extensive bi-lingual broadcast to its listeners. Based at Nga Whare Waatea marae in Mangere, it is located in the middle of the biggest Māori population in Aotearoa.
