Massey University Bachelor of Māori Visual Arts graduate Reweti Arapere has made history, his artwork has journeyed beyond Earth. His design, etched onto the protective cover of a superconducting magnet system aboard the Hēki space technology demonstration, represents the first time Māori visual culture has been integrated into a space science mission.
