Spark funds help boost Māori digital identity
The chair of new Māori digital umbrella group Te Ao Matihiko, Elle Archer, wants to see more Māori in the sector.

Māori represent only 4% of the tech industry, and Te Ao Matihiko, an organisation dedicated to the representation of Māori in the digital landscape, have established a kāwanatanga to help address that.
- Radio Waatea is Auckland's only Māori radio station that provides an extensive bi-lingual broadcast to its listeners. Based at Nga Whare Waatea marae in Mangere, it is located in the middle of the biggest Māori population in Aotearoa.
