The 28th Māori Battalion is being celebrated and honoured at a special event tomorrow night at Kāhui St David’s where a dedicated bronze plaque will be installed in the Great Hall. St David’s was built as a World War I Soldiers’ Memorial Church.

The Māori Battalion War Medal Presentation ceremony in Waitangi that was postponed earlier this year due to extreme weather, is taking place this weekend.
- Radio Waatea is Auckland's only Māori radio station that provides an extensive bi-lingual broadcast to its listeners. Based at Nga Whare Waatea marae in Mangere, it is located in the middle of the biggest Māori population in Aotearoa.
