Marae histories collected through Covid recovery putea
A scheme to revitalise mātauranga Māori by supporting digital storytelling for marae is one of five initiatives to be funded by the $28 million Te Tahua Whakamarohi i te Rāngai Ahurea Cultural Sector Regeneration Fund.
- Radio Waatea is Auckland's only Māori radio station that provides an extensive bi-lingual broadcast to its listeners. Based at Nga Whare Waatea marae in Mangere, it is located in the middle of the biggest Māori population in Aotearoa.
