Malone stands out in Māori surf comps
The 30th Aotearoa Māori Surfing competition chased the waves of the Far North at the weekend, with 112 surfers hitting their boards.

Ngapuhi claimed their first Iwi of Origin at the Aotearoa Maori Surfing Titles completed in Te Tai Tokerau on Sunday edging defending champions Te Atiawa and Te Rarawa by one placing in a tight tussle for the title.
- Radio Waatea is Auckland's only Māori radio station that provides an extensive bi-lingual broadcast to its listeners. Based at Nga Whare Waatea marae in Mangere, it is located in the middle of the biggest Māori population in Aotearoa.
