Māori names found for Northcote parks
Auckland Council has added bilingual names to nine Northcote parks.

In Northcote, nine parks and one outdoor classroom will now have te reo Mori names that honour the region's natural setting and cultural heritage.

- Radio Waatea is Auckland's only Māori radio station that provides an extensive bi-lingual broadcast to its listeners. Based at Nga Whare Waatea marae in Mangere, it is located in the middle of the biggest Māori population in Aotearoa.
