Amnesty International is petitioning to raise the criminal responsibility age in Aotearoa, as currently, 10 and 11-year-olds can face life sentences. The UN has said that 14 should be the absolute minimum age of criminal responsibility.
- Radio Waatea is Auckland's only Māori radio station that provides an extensive bi-lingual broadcast to its listeners. Based at Nga Whare Waatea marae in Mangere, it is located in the middle of the biggest Māori population in Aotearoa.
