Whānau Ora Minister Tama Potaka says he wants to see how the programme aligns with the Government’s social investment approach.
The three Whānau Ora commissioning agencies are waiting to hear whether their contracts will be extended, with North Island Whānau Ora Commissioning Agency chief executive John Tamihere telling Radio Waatea there has been no consultation about a policy shift.

Mr Potaka says he’s taking advice from officials before making any decisions.
“I won’t get into the detail, but just to make sure that we’re cognisant of the aspirations of this government to deliver on the promise of social investment,” he says.
