#regional: Pedestrian dies after truck collision in Mauku

Police have confirmed a man has died following a crash involving a truck and a pedestrian on Titi Road in Mauku, west of Pukekohe.

Emergency services were called to the scene at around 3.22pm after reports of a serious incident involving the truck and the pedestrian. The male pedestrian died at the scene.

Titi Road was closed while emergency crews responded and carried out their investigation at the crash site. The Serious Crash Unit and the Commercial Vehicle Safety Team both attended the scene to examine the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police are now working to determine the events leading up to the fatal collision. An investigation into the crash remains ongoing.

Authorities have not yet released further details about the victim. Police are expected to make inquiries as part of the investigation while also supporting those affected by the tragedy.
