Scotland has delivered one of the most dramatic results of the 2026 Six Nations Championship, defeating France 50–40 in a thrilling contest at Murrayfield and throwing the title race wide open heading into the final round.

The Scots produced an attacking masterclass, scoring seven tries to six in a high-scoring clash that ranks among their most memorable performances in recent years.

With the result, France and Scotland now sit level on 16 points at the top of the Six Nations standings, while Ireland remains within reach on 14 points.

The championship will now be decided on the final weekend of the tournament. Scotland must beat Ireland in Dublin to keep its title hopes alive, while France will look to secure the championship when it faces England in Paris.
