Police Seek Public Help After Serious Shooting Incident in Onehunga
Police in Auckland’s Onehunga are asking for the public’s help as they investigate a serious incident that has left a person in critical condition.
Shortly after 11 a.m. on Friday, officers were called to a property on Arthur Street following reports that someone had been shot. Emergency services responded and the injured person was taken to hospital in a critical condition.
At this stage, police have not released details about a possible suspect or motive, and the investigation is ongoing. Officers are appealing for anyone who may have seen or heard anything in the area around the time of the incident to come forward. Anyone with information is urged to contact Police 105 or report anonymously via Crime Stoppers.
This comes amid several serious incidents reported in the wider Onehunga area over recent years, but police stress this latest event is a separate investigation and they are treating it with the utmost priority.
Police say they will provide further updates as enquiries continue.
