From record numbers achieving NCEA qualifications to success in science, technology, and arts competitions, young Māori are demonstrating that education rooted in culture and identity produces extraordinary results.Several kura kaupapa Māori have reported higher engagement and literacy rates than ever before, showing that language, culture, and pride in identity drive academic achievement.
Economic Growth and Māori Enterprise
The Māori economy continues to grow, providing jobs, skills, and resources for whānau.
Iwi-led enterprises in forestry, fisheries, tourism, and renewable energy have reported record revenues this year, allowing them to reinvest in community initiatives – from housing and education to health and cultural programs.
