#indigenous #global: Pacific Indigenous Youth Gather to Strengthen Climate Leadership

Indigenous youth from across the Pacific gathered this week for a regional programme focused on climate resilience, language revitalisation, and Indigenous governance.

Participants from Fiji, Aotearoa, Samoa, Tonga, Vanuatu, and Micronesia shared strategies for safeguarding land, culture, and ancestral knowledge as rising seas and extreme weather continue to reshape island communities.

Organisers said the gathering highlighted the importance of youth leadership and intergenerational knowledge transfer.
“Our survival depends on the strength of our cultures and our unity across the ocean,” one youth delegate said.
