University of Auckland Celebrates Māori Academic Leadership

The University of Auckland is hosting a new event called Te Pae Huinga Manu, designed to highlight excellence in Māori research across disciplines. The gathering showcases both experienced researchers and emerging Māori academics making major contributions to health, arts and education.

Organisers say the event signals a strong commitment to centring Māori scholarship within the institution, celebrating knowledge grounded in whakapapa and service to communities.
