Following growing opposition to the Government’s move to remove Te Tiriti o Waitangi obligations from education law, Professor Mere Berryman, a leading Māori education scholar and co-founder of Te Kotahitanga, says the Treaty remains central to achieving equity and belonging in Aotearoa’s schools.
