In a thrilling and tightly contested decider at Accor Stadium today, the Brisbane Broncos overcame the Sydney Roosters 22–18 to take out the 2025 NRLW Premiership, reclaiming the title in front of a spirited crowd.
After racing to a 12‑0 lead in the first half on the back of early tries and dominant forward work, the Broncos endured a fierce fightback from the Roosters in the second half. But late points from Brisbane and a nervy final sequence secured their victory.
Brisbane opened the scoring with tries by Tamika Upton and Jada Ferguson, establishing their early advantage before halftime. The Roosters hit back after the break, with tries through Brydie Parker, Eliza Lopamaua, and Mia Wood, and strong kicking from Jocelyn Kelleher, momentarily giving them the edge.
However, the Broncos held firm under pressure. Mele Hufanga and Shalom Sauaso crossed in the latter stages, and Brianna Clark landed the decisive conversion. In the final minutes, Ali Brigginshaw made a crucial defensive intervention before being forced off due to an injury, but Brisbane’s defence held out.
