The National Iwi Chairs Forum underway with Day one having an economic focus – the last forum was held in the Far North. Acording to the NICF website: “In response to the challenges of the Foreshore and Seabed Act 2004, iwi leaders came together-led by Tā Mark Solomon and supported by the late Dame Te Atairangikaahu-to lay the foundations for what would become the National Iwi Chairs Forum.”
