Winter Appeal 2025: Calls for Compassion in the Cold.

The Salvation Army’s Winter Appeal is an annual fundraising campaign focused on supporting Kiwi families and individuals facing hardship during the colder months. The appeal provides essential winter support through:

1. Transitional housing – emergency, short-term accommodation for people in crisis.

2. Wraparound support services – including food parcels, financial mentoring, counseling, advocacy, and connections to other community or iwi resources. These services continue for up to 12 weeks after moving into stable housing .
