April 2025 saw 267,300 overseas visitor arrivals, marking a significant year-on-year increase of 18.8% (up 42,200 from April 2024), though still approximately 13% below pre‑pandemic April 2019 levels. January 2025 recorded around 355,360 visitor arrivals, showing a rebound from 456,736 in December 2024. Over the 12 months to March 2025, total overseas visitor arrivals reached 3.32 million, increasing by 137,000 compared to the year ending March 2024, but still 14% below the 3.87 million visitors in the year to March 2019.

Australia remains the top source, accounting for roughly 41-48% of arrivals and saw a rise of about 33,800 arrivals in April 2025. Other key markets seeing growth:

    • United Kingdom (+4,000),
    • United States (+3,300),
    • Hong Kong (+1,600).
      In contrast, arrivals from Indonesia declined

Chinese arrivals reached approximately 57% of their pre-pandemic volume by March 2025 – up from 48% the previous year.
