Janice Kuka is of Ngai Te Rangi and Ngāti Ranginui descent and has been the managing director of Ngā Mataapuna Oranga.  The Waitangi Tribunal has been told that the Crown’s disestablishment of Te Aka Whai Ora on 30 June 2024 has left Māori health with no clear direction.
