Doctor-poets Glenn Colquhoun and Art Nahill, with a van turned into a mobile artwork by artist Nigel Brown are travelling from Kaitaia to Parliament, gathering community stories about the struggling health system.
Colquhoun says over his nearly 30 year medical career he has noticed grounded relationships with his patients have been the most efficient and effective way of delivering services that help keep people healthy.
“Build a responding system that promotes relationship, but don’t forget turn the god damn tap off,” says Colquhoun.
The #hikoiforhealth van will make it to Parliament on May 8th.
