A proposal to extend funded maternity hospital stays from 48 hours to 72 hours is welcomed by Associate Professor Michelle Wise (Faculty of Medical and Health Services), who’s an obstetrician. The Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) Amendment Bill had its first reading in December and oral submissions will be heard on Wednesday.
