A new Christmas single aims to spread joy and support a kaupapa facing closure.

Today, Solomon “Soul” Brown, a singer-songwriter from Māngere, released his latest single Merry Christmas Everybody, Everywhere on all music platforms.

Brown says he wanted to give back through his music this season, and Buttabean Motivation (BBM) was his first choice.

All proceeds from downloads on Bandcamp will go directly toward supporting BBM Motivation.

“Because again, yeah, the lovely work that’s been done in the communities for those that need it most, and just wanted to tautoko that and use the song to do that,” says Brown.

After Christmas, BBM’s Food Bank in Wiri will close due to the charity being unable to afford to keep it open.
